  • "Production of the book you are now holding began in the Fall of 1994. The design uses Garamond typefaces donated by Adobe Systems Incorporated, with title page calligraphy by Glen Epstein. Handmade photopolymer plates were employed in the letterpress printing and these were made using negatives from the Craftsmen of Tuscaloosa. All printing and bookbinding was done at the University of Alabama by Shari DeGraw, Kate Martinson, Steve Miller, Scott Snyder and Joel Williams. Lynn Amlie helped make the Kozo sample sheets for the edition at the University's Lost Arch Paper Mill. One hundred and seventy copies were produced, of which twenty copies were printed on mouldmade Nideggen"--Colophon
