Summary
The young Achille, threatened by a prediction that he will die in the Trojan war, has been disguised as a girl and brought up on the island of Scyros with Deidamia, the daughter of King Licomede . Deidamia discovers Achille's true identity and the pair become lovers, but their love is not enough to prevent Achille from leaving to fulfill his glorious destiny
