Note
  • BYU copy bound in brown fabric with red leather cover label stamped in gilt inside a triple border: "Albert Cahen, Fleur des neiges, Partition d'orchestre". Cover stamped in blue inside double border: "Location, propr?...au Menestrel..." (3 lines of text, mostly illegible). Dark horizontal mark in upper left of cover (number 1?). Binding torn at spine seam at lower front edge and in six to nine place on back edge.
  • BYU copy stamped on title page in 3 places. Two are stamps with handwritten numbers and signature above the title. First: "No. 1 anvers, Location Saison 1900-1901, Pr. Heugel & Cie., (signature)". Second: "No. 1 anvers, Location Saison 1901-1902, Pr. Heugel & Cie., (signature)". The third is inside a rectangular double border underneath the composer's name: "Location, Propriété de la Maison du Ménestrel, Cette musique ne peut ê?re ni vendue ni prêtée, ni copiée."
  • BYU copy has paper (some quartile-lined, some plain) folded over sections of the score which were glued to score pages, perhaps as cuts in the music. Some of these sections (see pages 179-188) have parallel holes at top and bottom of outside edges, as though they had been sewn closed. Pages 174 and 311 have another page glued over the top of the original page.
  • BYU copy contains notes and markings in regular and blue pencil throughout score.
