James C. Alden (b. 1822) was a soldier in the 52nd Indiana Regiment Infantry during the Civil War, which was stationed at Ft. Pillow, Tennessee, between September 1862 and January 1864. Alden returned safely to his home in Milan, Indiana, following the war.
