  • "Dr. Adolph Schmidt points out that the headline Historia Libri Ruth occurs on 166a [or rather 167a], by an error for Isaiah [or rather Jeremiah]. The book of Ruth closes the first section of the book, while Jeremiah begins the third. It is thus inferred that the compositor of the first section went on directly to the third, and that the intervening matter was set up by another compositor."--BMC II, p. 522
