- "This book was printed entirely by the hand of Tom Killion on his Asbern proof press during 1998-2000. The type is Centaur and Arrighi, most of which was composed in Monotype at M & H Type in San Francisco and reset by the artist. Titling and a few pages were hand set ... The images were all printed from wood and linoleum blocks hand carved by the artist over the last decade. The date on each image refers to the year in which the block was carved. Multi-colored prints were pruduced from multiple blocks ... The papers are three varieties of Japanese Torinoko, including the creamy handmade Kozo Torinoko ... The binding and cases were handmade by Peggy Gotthold of Foolscap Press in Santa Cruz. All carving, printing and hand typesetting was done at the Quail Press ... Limited edition of one hundred sixteen copies, plus ten artist's copies (which are not for sale) ... Ninety numbered copies are slipcased with one edition print laid in"--Colophon
