It was designed by Bruce Rogers and printed at the press of A. Colish, New York. The illustrations are from water-colors by Pierre Brissaud of France. The edition consists of nineteen hundred and fifty copies, of which this is number 1782"--Colophon.
  • Bound by Russell-Rutter Company, New York, in quarter natural buckram, gold-stamped, the boards being covered with paper printed in four colors from a pattern redrawn by B. Rogers after a wall-painting in the house at Oxford occupied by John Davenant from 1592 to 1614, where Shakespeare is known to have visited, gilt top edge
