  • Printer's device on the title page
  • Errata: p. 372 (i.e. 372)
  • Errors in pagination: 112 numbered 121, 159 numbered 157, 285 numbered 185, 293-94 repeated
  • Edited by Wenceslaus Morkowske de Zastresell
  • "Emblemata" p. 223-281. The printing of this section was completed after Estienne's death by Jacques Stoer who apparently began his work with the "Emblemata" illustrating them with engravings from the original woodcuts prepared for Bèze's Icones in 1580. The frames for the emblems 41-44 are vacant
  • In this issue the original leaf E has been cancelled. It contained the text of the first six emblems without illustrations. In some copies the next page was a special title page for the "Emblemata" with Stoer's imprint dated 1598. This state has the title page with only "Emblemata" in a woodcut border
  • "Abrahamvs sacrificans. Tragoedia Gallicè à Th. Beza iam olim edita, recens verò Latinè à Ioanne Iacomoto Barrensi conuersa." Title within woodcut border. p. [382]-343 (i.e. 345)
  • "Appendix ad poemata" p. [344]-372 (i.e. 374)
  • Also issued, probably in 1597, without the "Abrahams sacrificans" and "Appendix".--cf. Renouard. Annales de l'imprimerie des Estienne, p. 157, no. 4
  • Some copies have a tipped in insert at the title page after Cato Censorius, reading "Abrahamus Sacrificans". In some the imprint "Genevae, Apud Gabrielem Chartier" has been added to the title. In some copies an engraved portrait of Zèze has been added as a front
  • Head-pieces; initials
